Ipswich Basketball Club’s open trials session was held Thursday night at Copleston Sports Centre, with a variety of new and familiar faces coming together to form the basis of a revamped Ipswich Basketball squad for the forthcoming 2017-18 National League Division II season.
“Tonight was really productive for us,” said Head Coach John Ellis after the trials. “We saw a great mix of talent and a lot of passion on display, and one or two guys we haven’t seen before who really made an impression.
“I’m confident that even though our roster is going to look very different from last year’s, Ipswich will still be a team nobody wants to come to play against.”
The following players who attended the trials session are invited to join returning IBC squad members at the start of training camp:
- Dan Ashby
- Liam Eley
- James Fairs
- Quan Gill
- Robbie Maka
- Pelumi Oguntoyinbo
- Brad Potter
- Blake Read
- Ben Winter
- Gints Zapereckis
Training camp begins on Thursday 3rd August. The coaching staff will be in touch in due course with more details.
