Ipswich Basketball Academy and Copleston Sixth Form are holding an open day for all Year 10 and Year 11 student athletes interested in attending one of the country’s most elite basketball academies.

Head coach Nick Drane and his assistant coaches Tom Sadler, Edson Ferreira and Adam Robinson will be on hand to answer questions, and Head of Sixth Form David Leach and others will present the academic side of life at Copleston.

The open day is available to both boys and girls. IBA’s teams on both sides of the programme compete at the highest level in the UK, participating in the Elite Academy Basketball League (EABL) and Women’s Elite Academy Basketball League (WEABL) respectively.

“This is a perfect opportunity for young basketball talent to come and see how they can develop at Copleston and with Ipswich Basketball,” says Nick.

“We have a proven track record in developing elite basketball players – and elite students – and we welcome applicants from near and far.”

“Copleston is an excellent environment for young people to maximise their potential,” adds David. “We hope to be able to show our visitors that coming here represents not just an outstanding basketball opportunity, but a strong and sensible academic decision too.”

In order to attend the open day, please pre-register by completing the form below. [If you have already sent a pre-registration email to Nick Drane, you do not need to fill out this form.]
